Ghana Wins Team Cheers Award at 2026 World Junior Badminton Championships

Ghana’s junior badminton squad, the Golden Shuttlers, won the Suhandinata Cup Team Cheers Award at the 2026 BWF World Junior Mixed Team Championships in Cairo, Egypt.

The award recognises the team’s energetic cheering, support and sportsmanship off the court. Ghana reached the final alongside Germany and the Philippines and was recognised for its team spirit and cultural display. It was not an award for defeating those countries in badminton matches.
