Carrick and Bruno Fernandes Hold Talks After Manchester United Bournemouth Defeat
Manchester United head coach Michael Carrick and captain Bruno Fernandes held talks following the midfielder’s omission from the starting lineup for the club’s 3-0 defeat to Bournemouth on 25 October 2026.
Fernandes remained an unused substitute after publicly criticising United’s tactics following their Champions League loss to Como. Carrick described the selection as a football decision.
Sky Sports reported on 28 October that the pair had met to clear the air and refocus on the team’s results, with Fernandes again in contention ahead of the Chelsea match.
