Huddersfield Town Pays Tribute to Lifelong Supporter Sir Patrick Stewart

Huddersfield Town has paid tribute to Sir Patrick Stewart following his death at the age of 86. The club’s announcement remembers the Mirfield-born actor as a lifelong supporter and an ambassador for Huddersfield.

A lasting connection with Town

Stewart’s association with the club stretched far beyond occasional appearances. Huddersfield recalls his childhood visits to Leeds Road, continued support after his move to California and involvement in club events.

He previously served as president of the Huddersfield Town Academy and honorary president of the supporters’ association.

Remembered by the club

Owner and chairman Kevin Nagle described a personal friendship founded on their shared support for Town. The club extended its sympathy to Stewart’s family and recognised his contribution as a supporter whose international profile brought attention to his hometown team.

Stewart was known worldwide for his stage and screen career, including his roles in Star Trek and X-Men. For Huddersfield supporters, his legacy also includes the attention and affection he brought to their club.
