Ipswich Town 1-1 Nottingham Forest: Williams and Enciso Score in Portman Road Draw

Nottingham Forest drew 1-1 away to Ipswich Town at Portman Road on Friday, 23 October 2026, after failing to turn their chances into a winning goal.

Williams strikes before Ipswich respond

Neco Williams gave Forest the lead in the 13th minute. Julio Enciso equalised for Ipswich in the 41st minute, and the score remained level at the final whistle.

Forest frustrated despite chances

Forest created more shooting opportunities but could not find a second goal. Ipswich defender Leif Davis made important goal-line clearances, while a VAR-reviewed challenge by Issa Diop on James McAtee resulted in a yellow card rather than a dismissal.

Forest manager Oliver Glasner praised his side’s response and work rate but acknowledged their missed opportunities. The draw moved Forest out of the relegation places on goal difference.
