Former Badminton Player Kuhoo Garg Earns Police Academy Sword of Honour

Former Indian international badminton player Kuhoo Garg has earned the Sword of Honour for Best Outdoor Probationer at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy in Hyderabad.

Garg, who competed internationally in badminton and reached world No. 34 in mixed doubles, was among the Indian Police Service trainees preparing for the academy’s 17 October 2026 passing-out parade. The outdoor award recognises performance in areas including physical training, tactics and sport.

Her transition from elite badminton to police training highlights the discipline and fitness skills that athletes can carry into other careers.
