Singapore GP: Hamilton’s Late Tyre Gamble Costs Ferrari Points

Lewis Hamilton’s decision to stay out on worn tyres left Ferrari counting lost points at the 2026 Singapore Grand Prix.

BBC Sport reported that Hamilton missed the pit entry during a virtual safety car and then attempted to retain track position. Tyre degradation subsequently dropped him to sixth. He had started on medium tyres before switching to softs.

Hamilton accepted responsibility for the missed stop and his decision to remain on track. His Ferrari team-mate Charles Leclerc finished second.
