Oregon Considers Limited Yelloweye Rockfish Harvest for 2027

Oregon wildlife managers are considering limited recreational harvest of yelloweye rockfish in 2027 following recovery of the stock. The change is a proposal, not a fishing rule already in force.

The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife has invited public comments on proposed 2027 groundfish regulations. Any final rules will depend on the state’s regulatory process.

Anglers should continue to follow current regulations and check official updates before retaining protected species.
