Pennsylvania Proposes Adding Eight Waters to Community Fishing Programme

The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission has tentatively approved eight lakes and ponds for inclusion in a redesigned Community Fishing Initiative Program. The proposal is not yet a final designation.

Eight proposed locations

At its 26 October board meeting, fisheries management officials recommended Rainbow Pond in Crawford County, Harbor Creek Community Park Pond in Erie County, Phifers Ice Dam in Lehigh County, Montoursville Borough Community Park Pond in Lycoming County, FDR Park Lake in Philadelphia County, Kennedy Park Pond in Susquehanna County, B-Y Park Pond in Westmoreland County, and Kiwanis Lake in York County.

The initiative is intended to encourage participation through year-round fishing opportunities and enhanced stocking, subject to final programme decisions and applicable regulations.
