United States Grand Prix 2026: Race Strategy and Confirmed Podium Analysis

The 2026 United States Grand Prix at Circuit of the Americas ended with Kimi Antonelli first for Mercedes, Charles Leclerc second for Ferrari and Max Verstappen third for Red Bull.

Strategy at Austin

Antonelli converted pole position into the lead and completed the 56-lap race with a successful one-stop strategy. He finished 13.078 seconds ahead of Leclerc, while Verstappen was 17.485 seconds behind the winner.

A short Virtual Safety Car period did not change the final podium order. Antonelli’s tyre management and consistent race pace were central to the result.

Earlier versions of this article described alleged comments by Guenther Steiner and Damon Hill without a verifiable transcript. Those quotations and unrelated references have been removed.
