Bayern Munich Confirm Vincent Kompany Receiving Hospital Care After Collapse

FC Bayern Munich confirmed that head coach Vincent Kompany required medical attention after collapsing while watching a reserve-team training session on Friday, 23 October 2026.

The club said Kompany was undergoing hospital examinations and would remain under medical care. Sporting director Max Eberl said the coach’s health was the club’s priority and that his assistants would handle training and match responsibilities.

At a subsequent briefing, Eberl said Kompany was stable and that no firm return date had been set. The club is allowing him time to recover.
